La SAIF-Benoît Schaeffer Publishing Grant for a Photography Book

As a tribute to photojournalist Benoît Schaeffer who passed away in 2020, La SAIF launched in 2023 a grant program for the publication of photography books. The grant is designed to support and highlight the career of a professional press or documentary photographer, and provide backing needed to publish a printed book. The grant is open to photographers living in France who make a submission in association with a publishing house for the production of a book.

The grant sponsored by La Saif is for €10,000, and will be presented to the second recipient José Nicolas, for the planned monograph of his life’s work to be published by Revelatoer.
