With Alan Lau, 2024 winner of the Canon Video Grant for a Short Film Documentary. Screening followed by a discussion with the audience. Against the backdrop of Nepal’s bloodiest animal sacrifice festival, this documentary follows the harrowing journey of young Nepali cattle as they are transported to their fate. Told through the eyes of the animals, the film unveils a hidden world where religious devotion intertwines with commercial exploitation. Beneath the rituals lies a disturbing reality of corruption, greed, and human cruelty, exposing the brutal cost paid by those who cannot speak for themselves.
