All wars produce casualties: Destroyed Lives and Truth. From the very beginning of the war on Iraq the great spin from the Bush Administration was and is still, “Only the enemy will suffer casualties.”

One of the most obvious examples of that cruel mockery of honor and glory of giving one's life for his country was the closing of Dover Air Force base to the press and to the nation: ”'Let no one witness the rows of flag-draped coffins ready to be shipped to grieving families.” And there are hundreds of grieving families in America. Here are a few of those families that must endure the bitter truth, the intolerable losses, pain and anguish. Families, friends and strangers gather with love to give comfort, hope and honor and hopefully the strength to endure and survive.
