Reporters Without Borders round table
Palais des Congrès, auditorium Charles Trenet.
Palais des Congrès, Charles Trenet auditorium. Free admission. Thursday, September 4, 4.30pm. Journalism in exile: an antidote to disinformation When authoritarian regimes extend their control over information, journalists who are forced into exile are often the last independent voices capable of denouncing propaganda and abuses of power. By providing people in their home countries with unrestricted, pluralistic and independent information, they represent an essential bulwark against disinformation. This round table, organized by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), explores the crucial role of these journalists, the obstacles they face and how to increase their impact in promoting freedom of the press and democracy.
