The Carmignac Photojournalism Award

The Carmignac Foundation is pleased to be with the Festival Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan for the third year in a row, and to announce the winner of the 8th Carmignac Photojournalism Award at the evening show in Perpignan on Wednesday, September 6.

The Carmignac Photojournalism Award, which was founded in 2009, provides support and promotion for a future photographic report featuring investigative journalism and focusing attention on parts of the world where human rights and freedom of expression are often violated.

Every year, an international jury calls for applications, either on a specific region of the world or a specific subject, which, for the 8th award, is modern day slavery, in particular in relation to women

The award provides a grant to support an in-depth photographic project and to give the winner the backing needed to mount and hold a touring exhibition and publish a monograph. Four prints from the project then become part of the Carmignac Foundation collection.
