Winter scoops the 2010 Visa d'or News award

Damon Winter (right) wins the Visa d’or News award last night in Perpignan for his work for The News York Times on Haiti and the earthquake’s aftermath. He said that he hoped his pictures would help the Haitian people and bring attention to the disaster. The award is supported by Paris Match and was presented by the Visa pour l’Image director Jean-François Leroy (left). Martina Bacigalupo was also formally presented with the 2010 Canon AFJ Award. © Dan Kendall
