You say goodbye I say hello…

What a fantastic professional week in Perpignan, I do believe that this has been the best festival yet. Our 20th anniversary and you all came to celebrate with us, thank you. The Exhibitions were stunning and I hear good reports that you liked the screenings at Place de la Republic as well as Campo Santo. So sorry that our last night together was spoiled by the weather, we can fix most things but, this was beyond our control and safety was our first priority.

As you leave and go back to your day jobs, new assignments, families and friends we stay in Perpignan for another two weeks.

The Exhibitions are now for the fine people of Perpignan, gracious hosts to us all for so many years.
It is also for the school children that come in there hundreds from all over the region to look, wonder and question.

This is sometimes the most challenging and rewarding of times for us because, this audience do not know the name of a particular photographer or if they are famous, they look at the images and ask why, how, who?

The Visa pour I’ image Education program is very important and I am ever grateful to the photographers who stay behind after the professional week to talk to the children.
