William Klein

New York, Rome, Moscow, Tokyo

William Klein has always been a genius in every field. His view of the world has influenced generations of photographers. There is the strict framing, the art of making subjects forget that he is there, even when so close, and the perfect balance of his compositions. Total mastery. A selection of his life’s work has been made to rediscover his series on New York (1955), Rome (1957), Moscow (1959) and Tokyo (1964), featuring works that are unique lessons in the art of photography, and as fresh and contemporary as ever. William Klein has kindly consented to this modest tribute to one of the great achievements in the history of photography.
