The 2010 CARE Award for Humanitarian Reportage

Since 2003, the CARE Award for Humanitarian Reporting has been sponsored by sanofi-aventis. The award will be presented during the evening show on Thursday, September 2, 2010

CARE is one of the largest worldwide humanitarian networks. It is apolitical and non-denominational. CARE conducts projects for and with women, as women are the first victims of poverty. Every year, CARE provides assistance for some 55 million people in more than 70 countries. For both emergency response and long-term aid, CARE tackles the deep-seated causes of poverty, working for sustainable development with programs, for example, in microfinance, education, HIV-AIDS, food security and access to drinking water.

The weekly magazine Femme Actuelle is the “Media Partner” supporting the award and has been doing so for two years now.
